Bring water or a sport drink to stay hydrated!
Bring, or buy a towel at the front desk.
Show up a few minutes early to meet the instructor (especially if it’s your first time in a class). You can tell them if you have any limitations or injuries and they can help you get the gear you need.
Don’t try to do the whole class the first day. Try about 15-20 minutes and see how you feel (if you can, then go ahead). It’s perfectly fine to leave at that point. Over time you can build up to the entire class.
Go at your own pace and feel free to modify movements that are too challenging, confusing or uncomfortable.
It’s okay to stop and rest if you need a break.
If something hurts or becomes uncomfortable stop what you’re doing.
Know that most participants are watching the instructor and themselves in the mirror, not you!
Wear what you feel most comfortable in. Fitted clothes stay in place better than loose clothes, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and cool during your workout.
